The Frilled Lizard, also called Australian Dragon, is a small arboreal animal that can measure up to 35 inches long and weigh 2 pounds. Of a discreet nature, it is difficult to find as he blends in with tree trunks. But when he is spotted and feels threatened, he unfolds the collar around his neck, whistles and hits the ground of his tail to frighten the tree intruder. This collar is the origin of his name.
